    Amount second-largest ever in Kentucky

    A Lexington jury today hit Shane Ragland with a $63.3 million verdict for fatally shooting University of Kentucky football player Trent DiGiuro in 1994. The jury deliberated for less than an hour and punished Ragland with $60 million in punitive damages and $3.3 million for lost income and funeral expenses.

    Turns out Bigfoot was just a rubber suit. Two researchers on a quest to prove the existence of Bigfoot say that the carcass encased in a block of ice - handed over to them for an undisclosed sum by two men who claimed to have found it - was slowly thawed out, and discovered to be a rubber gorilla outfit.

    Famed record producer helped shape R&B music

    NEW YORK — Legendary record producer Jerry Wexler, who helped shape R&B music with influential recordings of Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles and other greats, and later made key recordings with the likes of Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson, has died, said his son, Paul. He was 91.
