Ky. actor comes home with one-man show

Herald-Leader Staff Report

Hodgenville native Donnie Mather is coming home to the Bluegrass State to present his one-man play, A Show of Force, at Actors Theatre of Louisville, 316 West Main Street, at 4 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday. There will be a post-show discussion after the early performance.

Mather lives in New York and has studied with Anne Bogart's Saratoga International Theatre Institute and is working on a show based on the music of Yoko Ono.

A Show of Force, directed by Leon Ingulsrud, portrays a young man searching for answers to life's big questions in the words of Shakespeare, the Bible, Mark Twain and many others. Among the designers is Elizabethtown native Darron L. West, who co-designed the sound.

Tickets are $20, $14 students and seniors, and available through the Actors Theatre box office at 1-800-428-5849.
